The Act of Rebuilding

I feel the true meaning of life lies in rebuilding yourself,
For that to happen, fall in love with someone, something, or some idea for that matter,
Love deeply and passionately, until you start loving with every single cell of your existence,
And one fine day loose that someone, something, or some idea for that matter,
To the cruel realities of life,
Fall into that dark labyrinth of depression,
Get sucked into that vortex of sadness,
Shatter every bit of you into thousand pieces,
And then, shatter those thousand pieces into thousand more pieces,
Until your are left with just the shell called you.
Then begin the humongous task of reclaiming you back,
True happiness is when you have picked up all the those broken pieces
Fumbling and trembling with the sheer intensity of the task,
Joining all the bits and pieces, one at a time,
Hiding your scars and pains behind the mask of a subtle smile,
All the time determined to get back, what you have lost.
And time and again I say, to know, to understand true bliss,
You should have tasted the true essence of sorrow.

Let’s Fall in Love

Let’s fall in love
Once again,
This time, somehow
Without the loss and
The pain.
Let's meet up as strangers
In some strange land,
Perhaps as two lost, lonely travelers, and
We could just stand
On a cross road
Facing each other
Exchanging a courteous smile.
Let’s meet up by chance, while
We’re in a coffee shop,
You would be with someone
You love
And I would be expecting,
Waiting for someone
To love.
We could just exchange
A timed glance.
Let's meet up on the eve
Of apocalypse,
In that instance
I would, kiss your lips.
We could even make love
On a deserted street
With no morals to perceive
With no questions asked and,
No one and none to be misled.
